Ćuk converters on-board Orion Spacecraft help to propel
it safely on missions to asteroids, Mars and beyond!
A number of compact and very efficient Ćuk converter modules were designed and prototypes made as a collaboration between TESLAco and Honeywell. Honeywell, in turn, converted those prototypes into a hybrid packaged modules using space qualified parts and performing rigorous space qualification testing. The Orion made a successful maiden voyage into space in December 2014.
